Escape the city to the healthy fresh air of the World Heritage Blue Mountains with your own small group or family and our 100% local Aussie professional guide. As a private tour you have complete flexibility on where to stop and for how long.
On leaving Sydney we pass the 2000 Olympic games venue and visit Sydney Zoo or Featherdale with the worlds’ largest collection of Australian native animals. You will encounter many friendly Koalas, can pat and feed Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus, see wombats, tasmanian devils, echidnas and more, and get up close to all our native animals.
Soon we arrive in KATOOMBA with the famous 3 Sisters standing before you and overlooking our ” Grand Canyon”. Your guide will explain the aboriginal legend of the sisters and you’ll delight in learning some aboriginal culture.
For our LUNCH time you will find many cafes, or bring along your own picnic (own expense).
A highlight is our visit to SCENICWORLD (entry is optional extra $49)- here you can ride down to the valley on the Scenic Railway – the world’s steepest – then take an easy stroll along the elevated Boardwalk through the ancient forest returning up on the Cableway. Also ride the Skyway cable car across the valley to view the Katoomba Falls and Orphan Rock.
Alternatively, for those more active, take a hike around the cliff top, then later relax in the cafe overlooking the canyon..
Then to Cahills lookout for more spectacular views and view Boars’ Head Rock.
You’ll discover the “mountain devil” and learn about our unique gum trees and other flora and fauna.
A short visit is then made to the beautiful garden village of LEURA, then through the Wentworth Falls area.
Your wonderful day is completed with a relaxing cruise into Sydney harbour gliding under the Harbour Bridge and past the Opera House as you reflect on some amazing memories. Our tour ends at Circular Quay around 6 pm.
